Each working group met for two days to discuss the state of the science in their respective areas. The working groups then presented their findings to the full workshop. The workshop concluded with a plenary session in which the participants discussed the implications of the workshop findings for research, policy, and education.

The workshop proceedings have been published in a special issue of the journal Global Environmental Change. The proceedings include papers from each of the working groups, as well as a synthesis paper by the workshop chairs. The synthesis paper provides an overview of the workshop findings and identifies key research needs.

The workshop findings have important implications for research, policy, and education. The findings highlight the need for more research on the human dimensions of global change. The findings also suggest that policies to address global change must take into account the human dimensions of the problem. Finally, the findings underscore the importance of educating the public about the human dimensions of global change.

The Workshop on the Human Dimensions of Global Change was a landmark event in the field of global change research. The workshop brought together researchers from a variety of disciplines to discuss the human dimensions of global change. The workshop findings have important implications for research, policy, and education.
