Black Sabbath is one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time. Their music has inspired generations of musicians and fans alike. But what do the fans themselves think of Black Sabbath? In this article, we'll take a look at what some of the most passionate Black Sabbath fans have to say about the band, their music, and their legacy.

The Early Years

Black Sabbath was formed in Birmingham, England in 1968. The original lineup consisted of Tony Iommi (guitar),Geezer Butler (bass),Bill Ward (drums),and Ozzy Osbourne (vocals). The band's early sound was heavily influenced by blues and hard rock, but they quickly developed their own unique style, characterized by heavy, distorted guitars, thunderous bass lines, and Ozzy's distinctive vocals.

Black Sabbath's first album, simply titled Black Sabbath, was released in 1970. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish the band as one of the pioneers of heavy metal. Black Sabbath followed up their debut with a string of classic albums, including Paranoid (1970),Master of Reality (1971),and Vol. 4 (1972). These albums are considered to be some of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time, and they helped to cement Black Sabbath's status as one of the most important bands in the genre.

The Ozzy Years

Ozzy Osbourne left Black Sabbath in 1979, and the band went through a series of lineup changes in the years that followed. However, they continued to release successful albums, including Heaven and Hell (1980) and Mob Rules (1981). In 1997, Ozzy reunited with Black Sabbath for the album Reunion. The album was a commercial success, and it helped to re-energize the band's career.

The Dio Years

Ozzy Osbourne left Black Sabbath again in 2006, and the band recruited Ronnie James Dio to take his place. Dio had previously fronted Rainbow and Dio, and he was one of the most respected vocalists in heavy metal. Black Sabbath released three albums with Dio on vocals: Heaven and Hell (2009),The Devil You Know (2013),and 13 (2013). Dio died of stomach cancer in 2010, and Black Sabbath recruited Tony Martin to take his place for the album 13.

The Legacy of Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath is one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time. Their music has inspired generations of musicians and fans alike. The band's legacy is secure, and they will continue to be remembered as one of the greatest bands in rock history.

What the Fans Have to Say

Black Sabbath has a passionate fan base, and there are many different opinions about the band. Some fans prefer the early years, when Ozzy Osbourne was the frontman. Others prefer the later years, when Ronnie James Dio was the vocalist. Still others appreciate all eras of Black Sabbath's music.
