Hollywood Dreams and Early Success

In 1923, Disney moved to Hollywood with dreams of becoming an animator. He founded the Laugh-O-Gram Studio, which produced a series of short animated films. However, financial difficulties forced the studio to close in 1923. Undeterred, Disney borrowed $500 and founded a new studio with his brother, Roy. This new venture, the Walt Disney Company, would soon become synonymous with animation and entertainment.

The company's first major success came in 1928 with the creation of Mickey Mouse. This iconic character quickly captured the hearts of audiences worldwide and became the face of the Disney brand. Mickey Mouse starred in a series of short films, including "Steamboat Willie," considered to be the first sound cartoon.
